Viruses and cancer

We are all too familiar with viruses causing the common cold, flu, COVID-19, diarrhea, vomiting, hemorrhagic fever and other diseases. However, some viruses also cause various kinds of cancer. Below are some cancers and the viruses causing them.

o   Human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) and often human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) co-infection of a patient.
